  • The group’s health portal, YOSalud, and the personalized care plans, Trucare, improve the health and quality of life of the patients belonging to their healthcare centers, with greater control remotely and a reduction of 30% in admissions.

Valencia, 10th September, 2021 –  The CEO of the healthcare group Ribera, Elisa Tarazona, collected the Digital Transformation award last night, which Valencia’s Chamber of Commerce presents every year, for their innovation projects in populational health management, accompanied by Centene‘s European executive director and board member of the Ribera healthcare group, Alberto de Rosa. The Night of the Valencian Economy, held at Valencia’s Palacio de Congresos, was the setting chosen in order to present this acknowledgement, which places value on tools such as the group’s health portal, YOSalud, and the personalized care plans, Trucare, in order to improve the health and quality of life of the patients.

At the awards ceremony, Elisa Tarazona highlighted the value of this award in the context of a global pandemic “that has changed all of our lives, but also pushed us to keep improving, growing and innovating in terms of tools that provide and improve the healthcare of the citizens”. “The Ribera group has always been committed to technology applied to the personalization of healthcare, the participation of citizens in their self care, and the involvement of professionals in the creation of predictive models and applications that, together with the collaboration with startups, enable the follow-up and monitoring of the health indicators of their patients”, she affirms. The key is, as Tarazona explains, “in joining forces, creating synergies, sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences, collaborating as we have been doing until now with public institutions and private companies, because it is this mutual support that allows us all to learn from our mistakes and enrich ourselves with our successes”.

The Digital Transformation award from Valencia’s Chamber of Commerce also places value on the empowerment of patients and professionals to which Ribera provide tools in order to care for their health, as well as the projects of the group that aim to improve communication and the humanization of healthcare.

All of these tools, channeled through the YOSalud health portal and the personalized care program Trucare, have shown very positive results in the assessments carried out by the Ribera group. Previously, indicators were defined which enabled the control of both the process itself (patients evaluated and with an active care plan, progression of the follow-up activities of the pathologies, etc.) and the health results (control of diabetes in patients, change in lifestyle habits from time to time), as well as in terms of hospital admissions, emergencies, etc. For example, the medical admissions of chronic patients that have participated in these personalized care programs have reduced by up to 30% and the average length of stay is 35% shorter.
