• As a challenger at this meeting in Madrid, the healthcare group will be involved in the selection of startups in the sector, will be present at networking meetings with other high-level international partners and will present its Open Innovation model.

On 22 and 23 March, the Ribera healthcare group is taking part in 100 Startup Health, a highly relevant international event in the digital health sector, which brings together in Madrid the main players in the ecosystem in 25 countries: 100 startups, 30 companies interested in collaborating with them, 15 accelerators and innovation hubs and 20 institutions, foundations and hospitals, both public and private. “Technology and digitalisation are the cornerstones of a process of transformation of the sector, to meet the challenges it poses, and that goes beyond any border,” say the event organisers, after recalling that these challenges in healthcare “are global”, and citing age, loneliness, chronic diseases and data collection and analysis as examples.

Some of the collaborators of the event are institutions of the relevance of ICEX, the Inter-American Development Bank or the European Commission through EIT Health, among others.

As a challenger in this meeting, Ribera will take part in the first day of the two-day event to collaborate in the selection of start-ups in the healthcare sector, based on its clinical experience and also on its collaboration with these emerging companies in more than a dozen projects in its different hospitals. In addition, representatives of the healthcare group will be present at networking meetings with other high-level partners and on the second day, the Digital Transformation Officer of the healthcare group, Tania Menéndez, will present the Open Innovation model that Ribera has developed. “Our goal is to continue to strengthen and build ties in the innovation ecosystem, so that our patients have access to the best solutions and technology for their healthcare,” she says.
